Description
Ferrochel 438 is recommended for supplying iron to crops that are sensitive or under high production stress. The presence of a chelating agent makes it particularly suitable for use in alkaline soils with high pH levels. It is recommended to use the product only when a need is identified and not to exceed the recommended application rates.
Specifications
The formulation contains water-soluble total iron (Fe) at 6% w/w. Specifically, chelated iron in the ortho-ortho EDDHA form is present at 4.8% w/w, while chelated iron in the ortho-para EDDHA form is present at 1.2% w/w. The stability of the chelated fraction is guaranteed for pH values between 4 and 10.
For all the indicated categories, namely tree and fruit crops, vegetable crops, floral crops, and ornamental plants, the recommended dosage is between 10 and 30 kg/ha. The label suggests repeating the treatment and, in the case of clay soils, adopting exclusively the minimum doses.
The product must be protected from temperatures near 0 degrees Celsius and above 50 degrees Celsius. Before large-scale use, it is advisable to carry out tests on a limited part of the crop. Foliar treatments should be carried out during the cool morning hours or at the end of the day. It is recommended not to stack more than two containers and, in the event of an accidental spill, to use suitable absorbent materials.
